He demonstrates innovative leadership with extensive experience and knowledge in the fields of consulting, human capital management, idea generation & new business development. He is a recipient of the consultant of the year award presented by Junior Achievement, for his work with Project Business. He founded GW Group in 1991 having a vision of “helping businesses and people challenge the future.” His passion is teaching leaders to become teaches in their organizations. Over the past 21 years Glen has applied his work experience, knowledge and skills as an independent Human Capital & Management consultant specializing in assisting organizations with organization structure, processes, and people strategies to improve productivity and performance for client organizations. He has consulted on numerous assignments and projects with large, medium and small sized organizations providing innovative solutions to clients. He has ongoing working relationships based on trust, integrity and credibility with Board of Directors, senior management, government officials, committees, teams and individuals. He has built a successful practice over these many years.

Prior to GW Group in 1991 he worked in the capacity of Senior Human Resources Manager for over seven (7) years with Ford New Holland, a world-class manufacturer of tractors and agricultural equipment. While at Ford New Holland he established a Training & Development Department to assist with the Total Quality Management (TQM) program. Responsibilities included “Train the Trainer” programs implemented at the Winnipeg plant along with corporate communication strategies and facilitating company planning sessions. Glen has worked at Manitoba Government, Department Tourism, Recreation and Cultural Affairs for nine (9) years initially as Director, Human Resources and eventually as Director of Finance, Human Resources & Administration Services.

Glen has worked with youth-at-risk including youth of aboriginal First Nation peoples to find employment for young people. He has written articles on human resources and been published in association trade publications.

He served (2006 – 2011) on the Registration Committee of the College of Register Nurses of Manitoba a committee of the Board of Directors as a public representative.

Presently he serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Glendale Golf and Country Club in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

He graduated from UND (University of North Dakota) Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.).

Melanie Gessell helps bring an insightful perspective to “mental wellness” challenges in the workplace, for families and participants along with the community and delivers workshops/seminars as a highly respected, knowledgeable presenter.

Melanie Gessell graduated from the psychiatric nursing program at Brandon University, Manitoba in 2002.

She began her nursing career in acute psychiatry for children and adolescents at the Child and Treatment Centre in Brandon, MB.

In 2007 Melanie became the first psychiatric nurse to provide mental health services for male youth offenders at the Agassiz Correctional Facility in Portage la Prairie MB. During her career in corrections she acquired her certification as an Applied Suicide Intervention Trainer for Living Works in 2008. Melanie has presented the ASSIST workshop for government and regional health authority employees as well as community and first nations populations.

Community mental health has always been an interest for Melanie, a chance to provide service to a larger demographic area; she became a community health worker in 2009 with particular interest in child and adolescent population for the central regional health authority.

During her 10 year career in mental health Melanie comes with extensive experience in clinical and community mental health. Her passion is assisting parents to strengthen their relationships with their children by teaching skills and building confidence within therapeutic relationships and holistic approach to teaching.

Melanie believes in the strength of the family and the knowledge that we can raise our children despite mental illness and other challenges to become healthy, productive members in our society.
